  • Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare IT project performance and critical Success factors that influence the success of the project. This paper identifies factors Opted by the organizations whose associated risk affects potential software projects. To reduce such factors from software projects several risk factors are picked from various articles. Delineating the similarities as well as the differences of critical success factors in various articles we have found that the factors like unclear requirements, over drawn budget, Schedule mismanagement and change management are the most critical factors associated with the Software Projects. A systematic review has been done in this literature survey to focus various disciplines. It will help to understand these critical factors and assist in management decision making for the risk assessment to diminish its consequences.
