Abstract :
The study present an observation, calculation, and analysis of electromagnetic pollution in proximity of extremely low frequency systems. This work will investigate, classify, and compare the measured electromagnetic field results with the existing international standards. The measurements of the magnetic field near electric power transmission line are taken at an incremental distance away from the tower. Realistic electromagnetic field measurements near Kuwaiti overhead transmission line will be achieved. The field results will be based on the ICNIRP guidelines for limiting exposure to electromagnetic fields and the WHO recommended standards. Electromagnetic field radiated from power transmission lines and electrical equipment can create low and weak electric currents flowing through close objects. This work should examine the possible safety measures and offer clear insight into neighborhood extremely low frequency sources. Residential areas and homes nearby overhead transmission lines are the focus of the study. The work presents field measurements for some household appliances.
