Abstract :
The paper presents the new approach to time-domain modelling of UWB containing convex obstacles. It uses vector fitting algorithm for deriving the closed form impulse response of the convex obstacle, which can be modelled by conducting convex objects (e.g. cylinders). Vector fitting algorithm uses an appropriate argument of approximation in order to obtain the closed form impulse response. The correctness and accuracy of the model is verified by simulations of an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) pulse distortion.
