Abstract :
A CO/sub 2/ laser has been frequency stabilized to an OsO/sub 4/ transition with a control bandwidth of 10 kHz. The obtained spectral purity of the laser is 100 Hz. The realization of very accurate frequency standards and experiments of high resolution spectroscopy in the 10 /spl mu/m region are made possible by this source.<>
