Abstract :
This paper presents the effects of antenna ground works and local terrain topology on the radiated electric near-field of HF broadcast antennas. It aims to assess how these changes in the electromagnetic field relate to ICNIRP guidelines for public and occupational exposure and to assess the influential factors which are required when performing numerical modelling of such sites. This work forms part of an ongoing research project into assessing HF exposure for the BBC World Service.
