Abstract
Mimeo.com is employing several new Lean Production System concepts in its new expansion plant start-up. Building on several successful Discrete Event Simulations using ProModel, the company employed a new model to simulate the material flow in the new plant design. This case study illustrates how simulations can be used effectively to plan, analyze and communicate new concepts prior to deploying them in production.
