  • Abstract
    This paper presents the wind turbine control system composed of a dq-axis control of single phase grid connected converter with anti-islanding protection and a full bridge converter with MPPT controller. The single phase grid connected converter uses the advantages of a current control technique in the dq synchronous reference frame. By shifting the single phase to two phases and transforms to the dq rotating reference frame. The purpose islanding detection is included in the phase lock loop (PLL) by used the positive feedback to perturb the system frequency during grid fail. Two experiments are tested with a 2-kW wind turbine system to verify; 1) the maximum energy capture, and 2) an anit-islanding protection. It is clearly seen from the results that the system can maximize the energy capture with various wind speed and the anit-island protection can stop the operation of converter comply with IEEE 929-2000.
