Abstract
We preset a comparison between a Domain Decomposition approach and some of the MM-based modern approaches used to address large electromagnetic problems. More specifically, we consider the Multilevel Fast Multipole technique, the use of Macro Basis functions and an iterative approach based on Domain Decomposition. After giving some theoretical remarks we present some examples showing the performance achieved, in terms of memory and CPU-time.
