Abstract
In this paper, Single Phase P-Q Control Strategy is considered for three-leg Voltage Source Converter (VSC) based Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) in the three phase Distribution System. The proposed control strategy based DVR is an effective solution for mitigation of supply disturbances such as voltage sag/swell, voltage harmonics and unbalances in the three phase source. It is used to extract fundamental component of active and reactive currents for generation of reference load voltages. The DVR injects voltages in series with distribution system to maintain load voltage to reference value for various supply disturbances. The proposed Single Phase P-Q Control Strategy for three-leg VSC based DVR is modeled and results are validated from various supply disturbances such as voltage sag/swell, harmonics and unbalances in the three phase source in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
