Abstract :
The design of a flexible DSP-based drive development system suitable for a switched reluctance (SRM), permanent magnet (PMM) or induction motor (IM) drive is described in this paper. The control is implemented with the TMS320C30 DSP. The DSP is used for speed, current and switching angle control in the case of the SRM, vector control in the case of the PMM and V/Hz control in the case of the IM. A minimum of software or hardware modifications in the system are necessary to control the SRM, PMM and IM. Schematics as well as practical results are provided in the paper
