Abstract
This paper deals with designs of high dynamic linear asynchronous motors. The meaning of high dynamic is in that case accelerations up to 500 m/s2 und speeds up to 10 m/s. In order to meet such dynamic conditions the moving part of the motor must be as light as air and it must be stiff, too. In context with the electric characteristic aluminum is the best material for this application. One motor design consists of a thin aluminum foil, which is joined to a tape and the second motor design has an aluminum sheet with stiffening on each side. The stators of both designs are equal. Special is here the three phase winding with regard to the high rotor resistance. The distance of the carriage (rotor) is 150 mm in each direction and the mode of motion is alternating. This means that steps of acceleration motion, uniform motion and deceleration motion rotate
