Abstract :
Study of vehicular Ad-hoc network is the area of research due to increase use of vehicles. Vehicular Ad-hoc networks are the wireless network in which communication among nodes takes place in the absence of infrastructure. High node mobility and frequent link failure is the main trouble associated with the vehicular network. High mobility of nodes breaks the communication link frequently. Self-adaptive technique provides the better solution for these problems. Hence nowadays, bio inspired optimization algorithms are area of research. These are generally used to design efficient routing protocol for vehicular ad hoc network. The Self adaptive behavior of natural insects such as ants, bees, shows efficient shortest path finding mechanism between the two subsequent nodes. To obtain the consistent channel for communication new particle swarm optimization based hybrid routing mechanism is trying to be proposed. In this paper we take an overlook of self-adaptive and cluster based different optimization algorithms.
