Abstract :
In this paper, a new voltage stability indicating index is proposed. This index is easy to compute and provides reliable indication about the proximity of voltage instability in a power system. A method for computing loadability margin for a vulnerable bus is also proposed. Test results indicating effectiveness of the proposed method are presented.
