  • Abstract
With the wide use of Internet, network attacking is also becoming complicated and frequent. Traditional antivirus solutions such as gateway and desk prevention could not meet the requirement of network security of users. This paper proposes a kind of measure which can scan web-virus with advanced virus-scanning engine in collaboration with gateway and firewall. ICAP Client module utilizing ICAP protocol effectively can prevents the spread of the virus in the LAN by flexibly integrating gateway and industry-leading third-party virus protection technology with software and hardware. Employing the improved LRU, the resources which have been scanned and considered safe by ICAP Server are not scanned repetitively so as to improve the speed of web access.
