Abstract
Here a microstructured polymer optical fiber is manufactured using suitable polymer material TOPAS , in order to maintain the refractive index contrast to that of the host material and there by reducing the losses. Bragg gratings were inscribed in the core of the microstructured fiber considering the dispersion loss, scattering and shadowing effect due to the microstructured air holes running along the entire length of fiber around the core is a arranged pattern .
