Abstract
This paper proposes an energy-efficient real-time synchronization protocol with voltage emergency prevention. The protocol locks the processor frequency in a proper way to avoid voltage emergency, and assigns tasks frequencies to minimize the energy consumption under real-time constraint. Extensive simulations were performed to provide insights. The energy consumption could be reduced up to 30% in the experiments, compared to the previous works.
