Abstract :
A computer-based transcription system of Chinese Renqun shorthand is introduced in this paper. Shorthands are inputted from a writing tablet, after preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction and coarse classification, artificial intelligence (AI) and dynamic programming (DP) methods are used to recognize the shorthands. Test results show that the development of a computer transcription system of Renqun shorthand is feasible and encouraging
