Abstract :
In this paper, the function of the axial magnetic field in a vacuum interrupter is elucidated, and a structure model of a vacuum interrupter with a long electrode gap is presented. Furthermore the magnetic field and static electric field in the model are calculated and analyzed, because the results can be a valuable reference in the design of vacuum interrupters with long electrode gaps
