Abstract :
A general approach based on an equivalent network model is presented for the analysis of complex antenna and scattering problems. The analysis domain is decomposed into separate subdomains, where the field is expanded into a set of wave objects. By associating an equivalent transmission line to each wave object, a rigorous equivalent network representation of the subdomain is established. The interactions among the subdomains are described by imposing the proper network connections. Different formulations, corresponding to different choices of the wave objects are presented.
