Abstract
The paper presents the feasibility study of a new light rail vehicle (LRV) that has a full low floor, able to carry out city, interurban and subway services. This new project realizes a LRV adopting traditional motor boogies with rigid axles, maintaining the full low floor in the passengers platform. In this way it is possible to overpass the problems given by the actual LRV that are realized eliminating the axles that connect two homologous wheels of the same boogie. A deeply analysis is conducted in order to find out all the parameters needed to obtain the performances of the different possible solutions. At the end a suitable index in order to determine the best alternatives for each mission is defined
