Abstract :
We investigated the context of teleworking as well as the reasons that prevented it from further developing. We also explained why these reasons are responsible for the fact that our interest has been switched from teleworking to virtual teams after the mid-90´s. The last part was dedicated to the factors regarded as responsible for the limited performance of virtual teams. We also enumerated the ways in which these factors can be transcended or at least lessened.
