Abstract :
A new method for determining mathematically the single sideband noise figure of a device from double sideband measurements is presented. This method eliminates the need for tunable filters and so will greatly reduce the complexity and cost of performing accurate noise figure measurements. Results obtained for test devices with frequency dependant noise figures are presented and compared to the equivalent double sideband measurements.<>
