  • Abstract
    This paper describes edge resonant switched capacitor dc dc PWM boost converter with wide range of soft switching and its current control method. This paper has studied the effectiveness of the edge resonant switched dc dc converter with conventional boost converter. This topology can achieve high frequency applications with zero current soft switching turn on and zero voltage soft switching turn off operations in the switches and the reverse recovery current in the free wheeling diode is reduced thus the current stress are also reduced. By using this conceptual topology the switching losses is reduced effectively. In this high step up voltage gain is achieved. The current control method can be easily implemented by using this topology. A prototype of 1KW with input voltage 100V and output 200V is demonstrated and the results are verified. Simulation is performed by using MATLAB.
