Abstract :
This paper proposes a new transport protocol for home networks called the lightweight command transport protocol (LCTP). The success of stability in the Internet is due to the congestion control of TCR Although TCP is so robust and versatile that it can be used over many kinds of networks, it is not suitable for home networks. For one thing, TCP is too complicated to connect small devices and appliances that are common in home appliances. This is mainly because TCP includes a complicated additive increase multiplicative decrease (AIMD) self stabilizing rate control mechanism. For another, communications in a home network may be between non-IP devices. A transport protocol is desired to be run over IP and non-IP nodes
