Abstract :
The spectral domain technique with a complex root searching procedure is used to investigate leakage phenomena in the multilayered conductor-backed coplanar waveguides. It is found that the leakage in the conventional conductor-backed CPW can be controlled by introducing an additional dielectric layer over certain frequency range with appropriately chosen geometry. However, these multilayered structures will leak when frequency is sufficiently high. Two different multilayered structures are given as examples.<>
