Abstract :
This panel presentation illustrate how an electric utility can use a sophisticated outage management system (OMS) to improve power system performance by: establishing accurate failure rates and outage times: identifying specific areas that contribute to poor system reliability indexes; using actual data to improve the accuracy of predictive reliability studies; and establishing system performance without the use of costly monitoring systems.
