Abstract
The next generation wireless communication systems needs not only to provide a higher data throughput but also to support integrated applications with various quality of service (QoS) requirements. In this paper, a new cross layers design of a dynamic resource allocation control for 3GPP2 1xEV-DV systems is proposed. The dynamic resource allocation proposed is able to allocate the optimal combination of system parameters such as the number of Walsh codes, the number of time slots, the modulation scheme and the channel code rate, not only based on the channel condition estimate but also according to the type of services requested in order to achieve promised system overall throughput gain. Performance evaluation of the proposed design will also be presented.
