  • Abstract
A "hands-on" AC & DC motors and drives demonstration center was installed in a classroom at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Available equipment includes an AC Drive, an AC induction motor, a DC Drive, a permanent magnet DC motor and a torque- RPM transducer. The equipment will be used to demonstrate AC & DC drive technology and induction motor parameters to MSOE students in a variety of scenarios. Students will compare theory to actual motor and drive parameters. This will lead to better student awareness of the advantages of motors and drives, consistent with the curriculum requirements at MSOE.
