Abstract
Describes the basic requirements, key functionality, main design features and implementation aspects of an SCP node for integrated digital cellular networks. This intelligent network (IN) SCP is implemented, in the first instance, in terms of the home location register (HLR), authentication centre (AUC) and equipment identity register (EIR) functional entities, in accordance with ETSI/GSM Recommendations (1990). As the difference between the GSM/900 MHz System and the Digital Cellular System operating at 1800 MHz primarily concerns the Radio part of the system, a similar SCP implementation is anticipated in the first instance for both
