Abstract
This paper presents a Maximum power point tracking based new single-phase eleven-level inverter with minimum number of switches in photovoltaic systems. The proposed single-phase eleven-level inverter has been developed from the conventional inverter topology. Multilevel inverter is an effective and practical solution for increasing power and reducing harmonics in AC waveforms. The single-phase eleven-level inverter with Pulse Width Modulated control scheme and three reference signals that are identical to the amplitude of the triangular carrier signal were used to generate the PWM signals. The harmonics were identified at minimum level due to efficient use of switching pulse modulation. The output is clearly monitored using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
