Abstract
The method of lines (MoL) is employed for a fullwave analysis of the propagation characteristics of lossless, coplanar asymmetrical striplines, considering conductor-backed and suspended substrate configurations. The variation of the effective dielectric constant and characteristic impedance with frequency and dimensions is investigated. The results obtained find application in guided-wave optical devices
