Research on the Networked Embedded System Architecture

Embedded systems are used to implement a large number of network devices. We research the networked embedded system architecture, and propose a layered structure and a function mapping method of the Data Link Layer. The function mapping method can be used to design the low-cost and flexible embedded systems. We introduce how to design the buffer and interface layers to enhance the performance and portability of embedded systems. As an application, we design and implement a Cable Modem based on DOCSIS.
