Abstract :
Nanopowders of Ca1-xSmxMnO3 (0.01<x<0.05) (CSM) were prepared by chemical co-precipitation technique. They were characterized and studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). We demonstrate that the nano-crystalline CSM phase having grain size of 60-70 nm can be prepared by calcination at 1073 K for 6 h in air. The obtained nanopowders were pressed, sintered at 1473 K for 24 hrs to evaluate their thermoelectrical properties. The Influence of the sintering temperature on thermoelectric property of the CSM powders were studied.
