Abstract :
A novel adaptive envelope feedback linearizer using a dynamic gate bias for gain stabilization has been developed and validated using PIP MDS software. A two-tone test at around 14 GHz for a 25 dBm solid state power amplifier (SSPA) shows an average in-band intermodulation product below -35 dBc up to saturation. This linearity enhancement is accompanied by only a 10% increase (in average) in the power-added efficiency from 35% to 45%
