Abstract
The study of the field distribution, when a small-cellular environment is considered, requires models that are able to take into account the effects of diffraction and backscattering due to the presence of nearby buildings. This has led to further developments of the parabolic equation techniques. In this paper a 2-D model that makes use of a wide-angle parabolic equation is described, a domain decomposition is applied and transparent boundary conditions are used on the upper boundary to simulate the radiation condition
