Abstract :
In this paper design and analysis of a MOSFET based power circuit and Gate drive circuit of a hybrid vehicle is presented. In addition, issues related to optimization of switching frequency and selection of the appropriate gate drive amplitude for improving overall efficiency of this circuit has been presented. considering the sources of major losses, an analysis is presented and most suitable frequency has been selected on the basis of this analysis. The most suitable gate voltage amplitude has been chosen based on MOSFET figure of merit.
