Abstract
Death of part of the nodes in wireless sensor network is a key problem to affect lifetime of the whole network. To avoid early death of such nodes, we put forth a children parent scheme implemented with LEACH protocol. The children parent scheme allows supplement of nodes when some node runs out of energy due to causes such as hot spot or unbalanced network topology. Experiment results show the scheme can greatly prolong the lifetime of wireless sensor networks.
