Abstract
Solar photovoltaic is the fastest growing technology throughout the world. Although the renewable sources find its application in the grid integration still its viability to meet the global energy demand is a significant issue. PV grid integration is a clean energy however its integration with the grid creates a problem. Fluctuation in the solar irradiance also produces flicker in the DC output voltage. This is not a problem from strong grid where power factor is assumed to be unity, however for week grid connected system it creates a power quality problem. This limits the maximum penetration of solar photovoltaic system into the grid. Since the cost of solar photovoltaic is much larger so a much research has been going in the entire world in order to reduce the cost. This paper describe about the amount of maximum penetration of solar PV into the grid and also investigate the different power quality issue associated with the renewable grid connected system. Different voltage profiles are recorded for comparison.
