Abstract :
The global market searching for alternative energy sources, to power vehicles and to generate electricity and Heat, due to continuous depletion of fossil fuels and environmental pollution concerns. Biomass is a most promising renewable energy source which has ability to cogenerate Electricity, heat and hydrogen. There are various technologies available for the processing of various types of biomasses to produce Electricity, heat and Hydrogen. The present paper review various fuel cell technologies for the generation of Electricity and Heat, their merits and demerits.
