Abstract :
A unified dispersion model for coupled microstrip line on the composite substrate with a top shield is presented by using the single layer reduction (SLR) technique and Kirschning-Jansen (1984) dispersion model for even-odd modes. Results have been compared against the results of Krage and Haddad (1972) within 3% deviation for three couplers. The present model is suitable for MIC and MMIC CAD application
