Abstract :
In the nowadays deregulation context and with the opening access to the electricity market event, new independent power producers demand the connection to the transmission and distribution grid. In order to quantify each connection impact on the power network security, it is imperative that independent power producers respect the performances stipulated in the connection convention. But, due to economic and technical constraints, the power producers could cross the connection contract line and the entire power system security could be dangerously affected. Considering this scenario, the system operators have to control the producing installations performances. Presently, the performances are controlled by on-site measurements. However, system operators do not always have the possibility to make measurements on a regular basis and distance surveillance is desired. We developed a performance control application based on parameters estimation starting from network disturbances measurements. This paper proposes to present this application, the obtained results and their impact on power system stability
