Abstract :
In this paper, an 8th-order cavity filter with two symmetrical transmission zeros in stopband is designed with the method of generalized Chebyshev synthesis so as to satisfy the IMT-Advanced system demands. To shorten the development cycle of the filter from two or three days to several hours, a co-simulation with Ansoft HFSS and Designer is presented. The effectiveness of the co-simulation method is validated by the excellent consistency between the simulation and the experiment results.
