Abstract :
We consider a controller failure time analysis problem for linear time-invariant H control systems. By using a piecewise Lyapunov function, we show that if the unavailability rate of the designed controller is smaller than a specified constant and the average time interval between controller failures (ATBCF) is large, then the system achieves a reasonable weighted H disturbance attenuation level, and the weighted H disturbance attenuation approaches normal H disturbance attenuation if the ATBCF is sufficiently large
