Abstract :
The dispersion characteristics, higher order modes included, of the conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CBCW) are obtained by an alternative formulation of the transverse resonance technique (TRT). The difference between the usual TRT and the formulation presented here, is the considered transverse equivalent network. With the TRT proposed formulation mode solutions identification requires less arduous work. Numerical results are presented and are in good agreement when compared to results obtained by other methods
