Abstract
The application of a hybrid finite element-boundary integral (FE-BI) technique to the scattering from a dielectric cylinder buried in a dielectric half-space is presented. The domain in which FEM has to be applied is limited by a fictitious surface Γ. The scattered field distribution is numerically evaluated by imposing the proper boundary conditions at the surface Γ and by using a suitable Green´s function representation which allows one to take into account the presence of the interface
