Abstract
The complexity of information management systems has gradually increased by the size of databases, on-line users and related activities. For this reason, in order to obtain a high transaction rate, the high performance allowed by parallel computers is required. In this paper, a benchmark for Oracle parallel server based on Meiko Computing Surface platform is described. The synthetic workload is specified according the TPC-B philosophy. Owing to the high number of involved parameters, the measurements have been performed according to different levels of workload complexity
