Abstract :
The problems of pinball route and multi-layer packet encapsulations exist in nested NEMO (network mobility) specification. To solve this problem, a routing optimization scheme is proposed in this paper based on hierarchical MIPv6. In this solution the MAP with location handover management is introduced, and the most registration messages are kept in MAP domain, and the packets in MAP domain are forwarded along the optimized routing path. The scheme effectively alleviates the influence on the transmission performance when the topology of mobile network is dynamically changed. The handover latency has also been reduced. The analysis shows that compared with the NEMO basic support protocol, the optimized solution has the better performance in overhead and handover latency.
