  • Abstract
This paper presents an effective and efficient approach for animals Iris recognition by analyzing the iris patterns as these patterns are statistically unique and are suitable for biometric measurement by using rectangular area detection algorithm. The unique identification of any animal concerned can be determined and verified by data set as patterns of bits which lead to identification of Iris patterns[1–2]. In this paper rectangular area detection for Iris localization and Hamming Distance method is used for Iris Recognition are proposed. Iris localization includes localization for inner and outer boundary of the animal Iris region. After extraction of the animal Iris from an eye image the Iris image is normalized and enhanced and is represented by a data set as bit wise patterns. Last of all Hamming Distance method is used for identification and recognition.
