Abstract :
One of the usual ways to inspect electrical insulation of HV equipment is to measure partial discharges (PD) by tests in on- and off-line-circuits. This report describes a model for analysis of discharges phenomena. The model considers the test-circuit transfer characteristic influenced by the large physical and geometrical dimensions, the individual conditions of the test objects and the disturbance levels found on several places. The new analysis of discharge phenomena of electrical insulation of HV equipment based on measuring the apparent-charges, energy and power of the discharges. With the new model it is possible to calculate the energy from electrical signals, if the time characteristic can be measured
