Abstract :
A rigorous method of moments numerical model has been developed for simulating site attenuation measurements. The computer program can model transmission measurements between two arbitrary wire antennas over an infinite or a finite ground plane the size and shape of which can be specified at will. Subtracting the well-known theoretical NSA (normalized site attenuation) from the calculated SA (site attenuation) values yields the sum of antenna factors. Comparison of the calculated SA values over a finite ground plane with those over an infinite ground plane yields the groundplane effects. The model developed can be used to predict antenna factor dependencies on test disturbance, height, and polarization
